The Product
BioZem makes a better concrete. It is an environmentally friendly, all-natural and proprietary product comprised of minerals sourced throughout Western Canada, and blended in-house in Central Alberta. Traditional concrete is comprised of three ingredients: aggregates, cement & water. With the addition of BioZem there is a significant increase in strength, durability, and performance compared to traditional concrete and other alternatives.
BioZem is an revolutionary, long lasting, and durable solution for various municipal, recreational, and commercial applications that would currently utilize more traditional methods.
The enhanced crystalline structure of BioZem concrete provides a >200% increase to compressive and tensile strength, making the final product resistant to cracking, potholes, & other common breakdowns.
Our products advanced composition reduces the high porosity of traditional concrete to the point of impermeability. This helps prevent breakdowns from the freeze/thaw cycle and mitigates gas migration

How It Works
Traditional concrete is made of three components: cement, water, & aggregate at varying mixed ratios. BioZem concrete has the same ingredients but the addition of BioZem improves the composition of the product to where in-situ soil at any respective project can be used as the aggregate component.
With the usage of in-situ soil, BioZem projects require significantly less movement of material and aggregates. This accounts for a vastly reduced carbon footprint resulting from less equipment usage, less fuel, and a lesser impact on the surrounding environment.
BioZem Concrete has various mix ratios that allow for a final product that ranges from roller-compacted concrete (RCC) to poured concrete with a variety of different finishing options available depending on the applications.
